I have gone through life and showered in different bathrooms, had different types of orgasms and also tried to form the different constellations in the azure sky….

The most amazing things that you would ever think of, I have tried; like trying to explore the other senses apart from the common senses that we were given. Believe me human beings are capable of doing so much but it was hindered by that story of the Garden of Eden where the woman deceived the man into eating the forbidden fruit……and we became labeled a sinful nature. Having been created in the image of God, we had an advantage over other creatures of the earth in that we could discern between right and wrong.

I for example know of a guy who possesses the gift of precognition. It is just like the gifts of the Holy spirit which were given to different people during the old Testament times…….one could be good in one trait e.g. praying in tongues. Precognition is the ability to know something will happen in advance and thus perform something to make you or someone avoid it happening. A good example is a group of people standing on the roadside; one of them decides to step back away from the group, only for the others to be hit by an oncoming vehicle moments later. It is something that happens subconsciously and thus you cannot blame someone for not telling you in advance. Apart from the five common senses, we have so many others and they were denied to us because of that incident in the Garden of Eden.

If you can look deeper into yourself and try to figure out which gift/talent/sense that you have and you are not using, then life would be so much rosier.

Commitment has it that you have to show your true self to the multitudes and the people you deal with day to day. It requires self sacrifice and above all accommodating one another despite the difficult times that are ahead or that will come.

The behavioral characteristics of a human being vary and you will be surprised that we are all unique just like our fingerprints. It is still a mystery how God created and knew each one of us even before we were born and yet he sits in heaven and watches over us… other words omnipresent!

I for example tend to be a very keen observer to detail……you don’t leave a tap dripping water and assume that everything is okay with me. I can be a real pain especially if we have not interacted together and it is true to say that you can only know a person after having stayed with them.

To the young girls from around the way, be careful of the teaser’s; the cheater’s; the one’s who got money in their visa’s because more often than not they got power over you.

Life’s lessons without commitment will leave you looser than a crack head’s hair weave so you have got to learn and discern the beauty of commitment.

I end it with these famous words from Anon who put it correctly that:

‘Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality. It is the words that speak boldly of your intentions. And the actions which speak louder than the words. It is making the time when there is none. Coming through time after time after time, year after year after year. Commitment is the stuff character is made of; the power to change the face of things. It is the daily triumph of integrity over skepticism.’ ~Anon

I am often amazed at how you can decide to lie in broad daylight….and in front of a congregation in church. No matter where you come from you cannot just decide to embellish us with your lies on a chilly Sunday morning.

The reason I say this is because there is this lady in church who was asked to tell us her achievements and she went on listing more than ten (as far as I could count) achievements she has accomplished, albeit in Uasin Gishu and in Nairobi simultaneously.

How could it be that you are an undergraduate student and you are a part time lecturer at the same university? Enlisted in the achievements was something like a student leader…….holding other factors constant, a person in the same university confided in me that it would not have by-passed her to notice a student leader and that she was not one of them! The pastor had to stop her from enlisting all achievements because they were just too many. Honesty is still the best policy and it should be known to all and sundry that the truth out lives a lie.

Today it seems there are fewer policy holders than there used to be……’Truth exists; only falsehood has to be invented’- George Braque. Truth will rise above false hood as oil above water. The lady I am talking about was the only one referring to a paper of all the achievements she has attained…..the rest had it in their heads; you don’t have to remember if it is the truth. White lies leave black marks on your reputation. You can’t stretch the truth without making your story look pretty thin, and when you stretch the truth it snaps back at you.

Two half truths don’t make a whole truth. It is dangerous to get used to substitute the truth for something else the go ahead and say you are saved in the blood of Jesus Christ….it wrong! You make me think It’s a bunch of pretender willies that go to church.

An honest person alters his ideas to fit the truth; a dishonest person alters the truth to fit his ideas. Truly there is no power on earth more overpowering than the truth. Speak the truth and it will set you free!

Paint this picture.

We all have different gifts and cannot all be the same……..a more nasty way to look at it is….we cannot all be rich….neither can we all be poor. Ever asked your-self why is the sky blue? Or why water is wet? In my effort to be a morally upright man I find it easier to paint this picture by the following words….courtesy of Anon….

‘While walking in a toy store
The day before today,
I overheard a Crayon Box
With many things to say.
I don’t like red! Said Yellow.
And Green said, Nor do I!
And no one here likes Orange,
But no one knows quite why.
We are a box of crayons
that really doesn’t get along,
Said Blue to all the others.
Something here is wrong!
Well, i bought that box of crayons
And took it home with me
And laid out all the crayons
So the crayons could all see
They watched me as I colored
With Red and Blue and Green
And Black and White and Orange
And every color in between
They watched as Green became the grass
And Blue became the sky.
The Yellow sun was shining bright
On White clouds drifting by.
Colors changing as they touched,
Becoming something new.
They watched me as I colored.
They watched till I was through.
And when I’d finally finished,
I began to walk away.

And as I did the Crayon box
Had something more to say…
I do like Red! said the Yellow
And Green said, So do I!
And Blue you are terrific!
So high up in the sky.
We are a Box of Crayons
Each of us unique,
But when we get together
The picture is complete.’  ~ Anon

The picture is complete.

The intricacies of dealing with an Ex Factor!

It’s one of those days that you wake up just remembering of the good old past…and the incidences that you have had with your Ex factor……and then you are supposed to meet her for lunch………

I have been previously told not to put myself in such awkward positions before……but this time it just happened that I was free the whole day. An attempt to see me the previous week was futile as I was in exam mode ……and I couldn’t care less… this Wednesday am supposed to meet Oedipus at 1300hrs. since I stopped making impressions (which I never used to in the first place), i decide to let her decide where we were meeting……..the answer I got almost blocked me like an obstacle……. ‘I am not familiar with such trends’ is the answer I got……so i presumed in my head…..a fly tramp that’s what she called me ’cause i dont wear no Stetson hat’s like Paul C as y’all see I become a man enough and decide that we meet at the Posta (Eastleigh stage) Kind of a turn off….but who really cares……..

That meeting actually started a few minutes past Mid-day…..courtesy of the thirst we had for each other and also for purposes of comparing notes to see whether it’s true that the other side of the fence has actually got greener grass.

Funny it is that we dint hug at first instance……which I understood…..because I was dealing with a married woman….the ring manifest it all and you don’t want to open a can of warms in broad daylight now do you? The joint I took her was middle class and there were no drinks for that matter; I also got to learn that she was dieting……which is the in thing nowadays with people of Nairobi. All along am observing the mannerisms of this lady that I once reminisced ‘used to love her’ as my favorite track and the way she had grown to be the strong woman she has become…during conversations you get carried away…….the snap! Back to reality.

The truth was that I had never actually had a meeting one on one since she got married and I was rather disappointed with the way it was carried out………the whole thing turned out to be awesome at the end….. Oedipus narrated to me very chilling details of how hard life had become……..this new marriage life and how there were many uncharacteristic influences from the mother in law so to say… is hard! But you got to be a harder nut to crack……….

That lunch meeting ended up taking the whole afternoon, engaging her in an intellectual conversation was a win! That made sure that the whole afternoon was not wasted……stories never end……and I guess we will have to build another day!
